I have had the pleasure of working with L. Kate Interiors on a few full house projects, and I can't wait to work with them again in the future. We’d been considering a renovation of our first floor for some time but were at a loss as to how to make our 100 year-old house more user friendly for our family. A friend had recently worked with Lindsay on a redesign in her home, so we asked her to come take a look and she immediately saw what we could do. We ended up doing a major reconfiguration of the floor plan and a full redesign of the interior. Lindsay and Jodi were extremely collaborative throughout the whole process. Starting with the initial design consultation all the way through picking accessories at the end, they listened to our feedback and incorporated it into their proposals. Though occasionally they’d push us on things they knew would make a difference to the design - and they were always right. They were also great marriage counselors, helping my husband and I reconcile our irreconcilable differences in design choices. They stayed on target with our budget, and using the team they compiled, architect & contractor, the work was completed in the time frame originally given to us. Which is a rarity with a big construction project! 

While these logistical things were a huge bonus, what we really love about L. Kate Interiors is how they’re able to personalize each project for each client. Some designers have their own “look” which they use over and over, whereas our design looks completely different than our friend’s who recommended Lindsay to us, and hers is different from the friend’s she met Lindsay through…. they’re able to make them all unique. 

Our house is now perfect for our family and we absolutely love it. We can’t imagine having done with project with anyone but Lindsay & Jodi.

We started working with Lindsay after purchasing an apartment that was new construction in an old church dormitory building.  It had good bones, but blank, stark white walls throughout.  Additionally, the quirky layout suiting our growing family with two young children, giving us the ability to have separate living and sleeping spaces, but the apartment's long, thin floorplan meant we needed a very creative use of every square foot!  We wanted our home to be fun and have personality, and clearly be kid friendly while not having adult areas dominated by toys.  Lindsay touched every inch of the apartment, giving us an amazing but cohesive environment with a mix of design styles.  She suggested and then designed built-ins to give us more storage, brought in textiles and patterns to give texture and color, and created our children's bedrooms to be places where they could show off their personalities but also grow into. Her design ideas managed to be exactly what I wanted without knowing what I wanted!  Lindsay seamlessly incorporated the pieces we already owned with the new things we needed to purchase. The end result is a home that feels updated and modern, but not too dependent on trends - we love it as much now 2 years after it was finished and know we will love it the same years down the road.  Aside from that, she is the easiest and loveliest person to work with, and made the entire "process" (and it can be one!) SO much easier than I would have ever imagined. I just wish I had another home to work on with her!

We started working with Lindsay right when we decided we were going to build in Westport, CT. We had no clue how to get started with making all of our selections (from plumbing fixtures to paint colors to door handles to floor stains). Lindsay partnered with us on everything from start to finish… making the process fun, rather than overwhelming! She took time to understand our style and budget and executed everything beautifully. From determining how to use our living room to showcase a family member’s record collection to designing a whimsical playroom to creating a custom dining room table, Lindsay really understood our vision from the beginning. I had asked Lindsay to push me out of my comfort zone in a few areas of our home and I’m so thrilled she did. We receive many compliments when people see our home about how beautifully and tastefully decorated it is. I have already given Lindsay many referrals! We’re so grateful to Lindsay for helping to make our house a home and we look forward to working with her on future projects!
